SILHILLIANS are being called on to put their best foot forward in February.
The Lily Mae Foundation is calling on residents to walk 60 in a month – about two to three miles a day – in aid of the charity.
February is a special month as it marks Lily Mae Jackson’s 16th Birthday on February 7.
In honour of this significant occasion, her parents, and founders of the charity, Amy and Ryan Jackson have are calling on residents to take up this challenge to walk in memory of your own baby or a baby of someone close to you.
The charity sad anyone who raises £90 or more will receive a free personalised shoe tag engraved with your baby’s name, a keepsake to mark your effort and their memory.
This is the cost of a Memory Box which allow parents to collect memories and precious items and store them.
They include vouchers for jewellery engraving, candles, clay print kit, ink print kit, photo frames, books, and two teddy bears.
These are handed out to hospitals including Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and Warwick Hospital.
As well as Memory Boxes The Lily Mae Foundation also provides One to One Baby Loss Support Service and baby boxes as well as a number of other projects aimed to help those who have lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination.
