Bumper donation of toiletries to help work of Salvation Army

Solihull Editorial 24th Aug, 2021   0

JACK’S Supermarket, on Timberley Lane in Castle Bromwich has donated a selection of toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and sanitary towels to the homeless service at the Salvation Army on Shadwell Street.

Store manager Laura Cerrone said: “It is so important to all of us Jack’s to help those who are less fortunate, particularly those at Christmas, so we were more than happy to help when Donna and Debbie approached us. We’d like to thank them both for their hard work.”

In addition to the Jack’s donation, two locals, Donna Beet and Debbie Burns, are appealing for donations of toiletries, gifts, and other essential items to deliver to residents at the local refuge this Christmas.

To get involved, head to Facebook and type in ‘Donna’s donation page for Salvation Army’ to find out more.
