SHIRLEY Band is set to join forces with Solihull Music Service’s Solihull Youth Brass Band and the Solihull Youth Brass Ensemble, for a joint concert next week.
The concert – Generations in Brass – will feature a range of popular and contemporary music for brass band and brass ensemble from 7.30pm.
The 28-strong Shirley Band will play alongside both Solihull Youth Brass Band, and Solihull’s Brass Ensemble, at Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Shirley for the first time on Thursday, June 23.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards future collaborations between the two brass bands, and Solihull’s Senior Brass Ensemble.
Tickets cost £5 for adults or £3 for concessions if bought in advance, or £7 for adults and £5 for concessions if bought on the door of Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Stratford Road, Shirley B90 4AY.
