Bookworms have hundreds of new titles to read through

Solihull Editorial 31st May, 2024   0

BOOKWORMS at a Solihull have a host of new titles to discover thanks to a generous donation.

St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School has been donated hundreds of new library books to the value of £1,500 by Touchwood Shopping Centre in collaboration with Expect Amazing’s ‘A Right To Read’ initiative.

The school is refurbishing its library, and this generous donation of new books will give children the opportunity to improve their literacy skills and encourage them to ‘read for pleasure’.

Expect Amazing is on a mission to ensure all children in the UK have the opportunity to learn to read through the initiative, which sees corporate organisations donate funds to school libraries in their local community.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “We are thrilled to support St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School with this donation.

“The ability to read is such a valuable skill in life, and by being a part of this important initiative we hope to inspire a lifelong love of reading and passion for education for the children in our local community.”
