THE SOUNDS of Fairies, Fantasy and Magical Realms will be in Solihull this weekend.
The Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing pieces inspired by folk tales, myths and legends at Solihull School on Sunday, December 11.
From 3pm the orchestra, conducted by Michael Lloyd with soprano soloist Alison Roddy will perform pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet and Humperdinck’s fairy-tale opera Hansel and Gretel alongside arias by Lehar like Vilja from The Merry Widow and Dvorak’s Song to the Moon from Rusalka.
