Bin collections in Solihull cancelled as country marks Queen's funeral

BIN COLLECTIONS across Solihull have been cancelled on Monday, September 19, as the country marks the Queen’s funeral.

The council has confirmed that it will not be operating its recycling and rubbish collection services that day.

there will be no collections of rubbish, recycling, or garden waste next Monday, nor will there be any bulky waste collections or container deliveries.

Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre will also be closed.




Rubbish collections will now take place on September 26 and recycling and garden collections will take place on October 3.

Solihull Council said it would take any additional bagged rubbish and recycling placed alongside bins in a suitable container for instance a plastic box, bag for life.


The authority added: “We are unable to take additional garden waste so please only put your bin out for collection.”
