CELEBRATIONS were in order as BHBN Radio has been handed a top hospital broadcasting award.
The station won the prestigious Station of the Year award at the 2026 Hospital Broadcasting Association Awards, adding to their previous wins in 2019, 2023 and 2024, as well as a silver award in 2020.
The dedicated hospital radio service, was celebrated for its outstanding commitment to providing quality entertainment and comfort to patients and staff.

Since it began in 1952, BHBN Radio has been committed to enhancing the hospital experience through programmes, music, and engaging content, all created and delivered by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, connecting with patients and staff.
BHBN Radio has expanded its services, introducing a two new request shows for The Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick and adding The Harborne Hospital to the list of sites receiving its programming.
