WINTRY conditions failed to stop Balsall Common strongman Paddy Doyle to achieve his 596th career strength speed stamina World record.
A mixture of sleet and ice made the 15km off road cross country course a challenge for Paddy which was already tough as he was carrying 60lb back pack over the footpaths and bridleways of Lapworth – all in a record-breaking time of one hour and 55 minutes.
He said: ” I am only four strength speed stamina record and challenges to go to clinch my 600th physical fitness title.
“I will have to stay focused making sure I will be injury free as the next three challenges will be very hard.
“But with the support from my team and sports remedial therapist I will be 100 per cent ready.”
