Balsall Common Lions doing their bit to help foodbanks

Solihull Editorial 18th Nov, 2023   0

BALSALL Common Lions will be out in force collecting items for local foodbanks.

People wanting to donate can leave their donations on their doorsteps or driveways before 11am on Saturday (November 25) for the Lions to pick up so they can be distributed to people in desperate need.

Among the items being sought by the small band of volunteers are any tinned foods – vegetables, baked beans, meat, fish or soup, dried foods, such as pasta, pasta sauce, rice and cereals, and toiletries.

A statement from the Lions said: “Our foodbank collections are now a regular part of our service activity and leading up to Christmas the need is greater than ever.”

Alternatively donations can be made online here.
