A BALSALL Common drug dealer has been jailed following a chase where he caught throwing drugs from a car window.
Reo Seivwright, who had been running a drugs line in Dudley, was arrested when a joint operation between the County Lines Taskforce and Road Traffic officers attempted to bring his car to a stop in February.
Hitting speeds of 70mph in a 30mph in a residential area in Dudley Seivright overtook other vehicles and forcing cars to move out of the way.
After police lost sight of the car the traffic team, a short time later, spotted it and arrested him, finding a blade in his waistband.
Following the arrest an investigation ensued with officers locating a phone, crack cocaine, and heroin at the roadside.
On closer inspection phone messages were discovered detailing meets and timings for drug users to contact him dating back to last August.
Seivwright, aged 28, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, dangerous driving, and possession of a blade in a public place.
He was jailed for six years and disqualified from driving for six years and nine months.
Detective Sergeant Leighton Shingles, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: “This was a significant drugs operation run by Seivwright throughout Dudley in supplying Class A drugs to people in our communities.
“Thanks to the joint operation with our traffic team we were able to arrest Seivwright and stop him in his tracks.
“I hope this sentence shows others who think they can be involved in the supply of drugs in Dudley and our towns and cities across the West Midlands area, that you will be investigated and put behind bars for your crimes.”
