A BALSALL Common baby loss charity has been named as the NEC Group’s charity of the year.

The Lily Mae Foundation, which offers a One to One Baby Loss Support Service and baby boxes as well as a number of other projects aimed to help those who have lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination said it is ‘excited and humbled’ to be chosen.

The charity said: “We were chosen via an NEC Group colleague vote from a list of worthy causes and feel incredibly honoured to have been chosen.

“The prestigious size of the NEC Group, enables us to highlight the important work that we do with bereaved parents following the loss of a baby to a large audience.”

Amy and Ryan Jackson set up the charity after their daughter, Lily Mae, was born sleeping in 2010.

Mark Charlampowicz, catering general manager and NEC Group charity committee lead said: “The support that The Lily Mae Foundation gives families in their time of need and beyond is invaluable, but the charity requires visibility and funding to continue this incredible work with those in the local community around us.

“On behalf of the NEC Group, I am proud to be helping The Lily Mae Foundation with their efforts this year.”

Mark and his team of volunteers will be organising numerous fundraising events working closely with his colleagues and the Foundation to offer valuable support like volunteering and fundraising at the charity’s annual events.
