PUPILS put a children’s author under the spotlight.
Tom Palmer spoke about his writing journey, the inspirations behind his books, and the importance of reading and storytelling at Lyndon School.
Tom, best known for his historical and sports-themed novels told the year 7 and 8 pupils personal anecdotes and insights into the writing process, encouraging learners to follow their own creative interests.
The pupils then asked thoughtful and reflective questions that sparked lively discussion throughout the session.
Head of school, Syreeta Kapswara said: “It was an absolute pleasure to host Tom Palmer at Lyndon.
“His visit not only inspired our learners but also deepened their appreciation for reading and creative writing.
“We’re incredibly proud of how engaged our learners were, and grateful for this opportunity to enrich their learning journey.”
