ROAD patrols saw three arrests and eight vehicles seized in Hall Green.

Officers from West Midlands Police’s Hall Green Neighbourhood team supported the Roads Policing Unit as they carried out a traffic operation on Stratford Road, to disrupt antisocial behaviour and driving offences.

During the operation on March 18, officers made three arrests – for robbery and dangerous driving.

A total of eight vehicles were seized, and 36 drivers were handed penalties for driving offences.

A further 19 vehicles were stopped for illegally tinted windows, which were removed, and a stolen vehicle was recovered.

Additionally, eight vehicles were dealt with for parking infringements, and following a speed check on Heartlands Parkway, 68 drivers were caught speeding.

Chief Inspector Andy Moseley, commander for Chaand Raat, said: “As ever, our clear focus is on keeping everyone as safe as possible, and we have a comprehensively planned operation running.

“We understand the key areas to focus on, and you can expect to see more officers present and ready to help should you need it.

“Those officers will be working alongside council partners including trading standards, environmental health, and parking enforcement colleagues.

“We will be robust in our approach to dealing with problem vehicles – our dedicated Roads Policing Unit will be highly visible in the area as they target reckless drivers, and they do have the power to seize vehicles where necessary.”
