Arrests in alleged stabbing of boys in Solihull

Police are investigating a violent incident in which a boy was reported to have been stabbed in a Solihull street on Saturday (September 7).

A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital alongside a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy following an incident on Alston Road at around 4.45pm.

The man and 16-year-old were arrested following their discharge from hospital.

The 41-year-old has been released with no further action and the teenager has been bailed with conditions.




Police are speaking to witnesses and examining CCTV to understand the cause of the disorder.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.


“On arrival we discovered three patients, all of whom were male.

“They were all treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries before all being taken to hospital for further assessment.”
