Solihull Editorial 4th Aug, 2020   0

POLICE in Solihull have appealed for public help to trace a man officers want to speak with in connection to a doorstep con.

They believe residents in Olton paid £80 for garden work which was never done.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “We are asking for anyone to help identify the man pictured, as we want to speak to him after occupants of a house on Lyndon Road, Solihull, were conned out of £80, after a promise of completing garden work was made just before 1pm on Thursday 23 July.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk 8am – midnight or call 101 anytime.

“Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111. Quote crime reference 20SH/175010D/20.”
