Appeal to find man who absconded from mental health unit

POLICE are appealing for help to to trace Shane Hunt who is wanted after absconding from a mental health unit in Yardley.

The 31-year-old who also goes by the name of Shaun Fitzgerald, was last seen at around 11am on Yardley Green Road on Monday (March 25).

He is described as being 5ft 7ins tall, with brown hair, a goatee and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a green and black coat, jeans and a pair of pink and white van trainers.

The public are urged not to approach Hunt if seen but to call 999 immediately.




Detective sergeant Andy Middleton said: “It’s important we locate Shane Hunt as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with any information about his whereabouts to contact us.”
