AN APPEAL has been launched after a motorcyclist was killed in Acocks Green.
West Midlands Police said it was called to the A41 Warwick Road in Acocks Green, just before 7am on August 1 following a collision between a van and a motorbike.
The man, aged 29, died at the scene.
West Midlands Police said: “The motorcyclist’s family are being supported by specially trained officers at this tragic time.
“The van driver was shaken but not injured.
“Road closures remain in place from the junction of Fox Hollies Road to Flint Green Road while our investigation continues.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find motorcyclist in a critical condition. They quickly began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him.”
