AN APPEAL has been launched after a man received a stab injury following armed disorder in Shard End.
West Midlands Police said officers were called to Kitsland Road shortly after 10.30pm on Wednesday (September 18) after violence involving a group of men broke out.
A man received a stab wound to the chest and self presented at hospital and has been in a serious but stable condition.
The force said it is investigating the incident and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Patrick Fuldun, based at Stechford CID, said: “This was a violent disorder where weapons were used and a man was seriously injured. We would appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information including CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage to please come forward.
“We would like to reassure the community we are doing all we can to find the people involved. We will be having more officers in the area over the coming days to offer reassurance. Knife crime is not accepted in our community and offenders identified will be dealt with robustly.”
