A MAN has been arrested after a series of alleged assaults which left three women injured.
Solihull police were called to an address at 10.30pm on January 15 following reports a man threw a brick at two women and gestured he had a gun, before he got back in his car and drove away.
Over the course of the evening, there were several more incidents reported involving the same group of people, including a head on collision on Castle Lane.
West Midlands Police said this resulted in a 26-year-old man being arrested by officers on the M42 in the early hours of January 16.
Three women were injured in these assaults, with one woman having suffered broken ribs and a broken arm.
They have all since been discharged from hospital.
T/Detective chief inspector Dave Sproson from the force’s Public Protection Unit said, “Although we have a man in custody, we are still urging anyone who witnessed any of these incidents to contact us as a matter of urgency.
“We take domestic assaults incredibly seriously, and especially during lockdown where we have seen a rise in these types of crime, we are doing all we can to investigate and apprehend those offenders.”
Anyone with information should contact police online or by calling 101 and quoting log number 4075 of January 15, 2021.
