Appeal after boy, 14, threatened with angle-grinder as bike stolen

POLICE in Solihull are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was threatened with an angle-grinder as his bike was stolen.

It happened in Warwick Road, Knowle on Wednesday (June 10).

The force said: “Detectives are hoping there may be dashcam footage of the two offenders riding off on a moped with the orange and turquoise-coloured bicycle slung over the pillion passenger’s shoulder.

“The distinctive Cube Analogue 27.5 bike was taken after the youngster was approached by two men on a matte black moped near the junction with Lady Byron Lane at between 6pm and 6.30pm.”
