POLICE are appealing for information after an alleged robbery in Chelmsley Wood.
West Midlands Police say two men broke into a house in Loyns Close shortly before 11pm on July 20.
The pair were reportedly interrupted and went to leave the address before returning and assaulting the elderly occupant of the house.
Police say they then re-entered the house and stole a handbag with valuables before leaving.
Detective Sergeant Mark Heard said: “This was a vile attack and we are determined to find those responsible.
“Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home and we are calling upon anyone who knows who might have been involved to come forward, do the right thing and tell us what you know.
“We especially want to hear from anyone who might have doorbell or dashcam footage from the surrounding area around the time the offence took place.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 and quote crime number 20/316669/25.
