Alzheimer's Society fundraiser has sights set on Miss Birmingham Crown

A SOLIHULL resident who is hoping to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s will feature in the Miss Birmingham Final later this year.

After featuring in the Miss England quarter finals, Lucie Anne was granted a place in the Miss Birmingham Final, which this year is being held at the Burlington Hotel on Sunday (May 21).

The 20-year-old is raising funds for two charities.

Beauty With A Purpose, a charity which helps local and internationally disadvantaged children, will benefit from Lucie’s fundraising efforts.




Alzheimer’s Society, a charity which has a personal touch to Lucie after her nan passed away in 2011 from Alzheimer’s disease, will also receive funds.

Lucie said: “A lot is going on and I am very excited for the final.


“I have gained so much confidence as a result of Miss Birmingham and I never thought I’d be in the position I’m in now.”

The former Langley School student is being sponsored by Reap Pcs Ltd.

The company provides care for those with learning disabilities, dementia and other various needs

She said: “I am so proud to be apart of their team.

“I am continually doing my training for specialising in Dementia Care.

“I am also involved with Birmingham Fashion Festival, which is bringing together local talents in June this year at the pop up event in Victoria square.

“The whole team is really trying to push this event to bring someone new and vibrant to the city this summer.”
