FUN-LOVING fundraisers from the Acorns shop in Solihull are getting into the party spirit by joining a new charity campaign.

Staff and volunteers will hold a Great Big Kids Party on Friday, June 19, in aid of Acorn’s work providing specialist care for children their families across the region.

Party-planner Alison Riopedre, shop manager, from Olton, said: “There’ll be a real party atmosphere in the shop on the day and we’ve got loads of fun things going on.

!All staff will be dressing up in onesies, we’ll be playing party tunes and holding competitions involving sweets and teddy bears.

“We’re hoping lots of people pop in on the day and join in the festivities. It’s a great cause and it’s all to raise money to help Acorns continue its vital work.”

The official Great Big Kids Party date is Friday 19 June but Acorns is encouraging people across Solihull to sign-up and hold events throughout the month.

In the last year, Acorns has supported over 760 children and more than 980 families, including 20 children and 12 families are from the Solihull area.
