ACORNS Children’s Hospice has unveiled a pop-up furniture shop at Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre.
The pop up shop, which was officially opened by Mayor of Solihull, Mike Robinson will be open for nine months and is part of Acorns status as the Shopping Centre’s charity of the year.
Val Hammond, Retail General Manager at Acorns, encouraged bargain hunters to pay the new store a visit and help support the charity’s vital work.
Val said: “We’re delighted to finally launch the pop-up and so grateful to the Shopping Centre for hosting us over the next few months.
“All sales will go directly towards the children and families we care for across Solihull, so not only can you get your hands on some quality décor but you’ll be helping a great cause too.”
Acorns has over 50 shops on high streets across the Midlands raising money towards the nearly £10 million per year the charity needs to continue proving care for life limited and life threatened children and support for their families.
Neil Griffin, Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre manager, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Acorns to the Shopping Centre.
“The pop-up looks fantastic so I hope lots of customers come down and check it out.
“We’re well aware of the fantastic work Acorns does across Solihull so it’s wonderful to be able to support that through exciting retail ventures such as this.”
