PUPILS at an Acocks Green school welcomed a new principal at the start of the academic year.
Jody Clarke has been welcomed as the head of Cockshut Hill School, part of Summit Learning Trust.
Previous principal Jason Bridges retired over the summer after leading the school since 2016, culminating in an Ofsted graded Good school.
Jody said: “I am honoured to lead Cockshut Hill School and build on the incredible work of my predecessor.
“My focus is to ensure every young person leaves here with the opportunities and confidence to follow whichever path they choose.
“Together with our talented staff, I want to take this school from strength to strength, securing even stronger academic outcomes and always living up to our motto of Nothing But The Best.”
Originally an English teacher, Jody has extensive experience in senior leadership roles, having previously served as a deputy headteacher and as the executive director of school improvement and development at a local multi academy trust.
