A BRAVE 10-year-old shaved her head in honour of her friend who has leukaemia.

Orla Madigan raised much-needed funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital where her friend Ellie Lewis-Williams is undergoing treatment.

The pupil from Severne Primary School in Acocks Green has also donated her locks to be turned into wigs for children.

Orla said she wanted to do this because her best friend Ellie is having treatment for leukaemia and she didn’t want Ellie to feel left out or feel different or alone as she has no hair now.
