Happy 105th birthday to Edith Woodcock who is a resident at Swallows Meadow Court Nursing home in Shirley.
Edith celebrated her 105th birthday yesterday (September 7th) with a special socially distanced visit from her family and a party which included chocolate, music and lots of cake.
As the home is currently closed to visitors, following strict social distancing guidelines, Edith’s family congregated in the garden and sang a wonderful rendition of Happy Birthday to their beloved relative.
The family said they were very grateful to be able to spend some time with her on this special occasion and Edith said it had been a “lovely day.”
The home’s Activities Team made sure events were special with a tea party which included lots of gifts, cakes, flowers, Edith’s favourite chocolate and music.
Danielle Dowling, the Activities Coordinator at Swallows Meadow Court said: “Eddie has been a resident here at Swallows Meadow court for many years now and she is loved by all that work and live here.”
