A frighteningly good way to help baby hospice this Halloween

A NEW Halloween adventure experience has joined forces with a local children’s hospice to aid its recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Spooky Swamp at Meriden has announced that Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Ash Green, Coventry will be its charity partner for 2021.

Zoë’s Place is an independent registered children’s charity providing respite, palliative and end of life care to babies and children up to the age of six who have life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Its services are provided free of charge for families 24-hours a day, seven days a week allowing parents to feel confident they are leaving their children with people who understand and care for their child.

These vital services are funded largely by a variety of fundraising and donations from supporters.

However, with events cancelled incoming funds have seen a dramatic downturn since the first lockdown.

To help out, the team at The Spooky Swamp and organisers Packington Estate aim to raise substantial funds during their new 10-day outdoor Halloween event between Friday and Sunday, October 22-31.

Visitors attending The Spooky Swamp have opportunity to make a donation to Zoë’s Place online when they buy tickets plus volunteers from the charity will be fundraising on a number of nights.

Ben Gray from the Packington Estate said: “The work the team at Zoë’s Place do is so vital to so many families and it has been sad to hear how their services have been impacted by the pandemic.

“We are only too glad to support them in any way we can and especially through our new Halloween event.”

The Spooky Swamp will be open from 4pm to 10pm each night. Adult tickets are £17.50, and children under 16 £12.50. Tickets must be booked in advance. Visit: www.spookyswamp.co.uk.
