82-year-old man struck at Olton station pronounced dead at the scene.

AN 82-YEAR-OLD man from Shirley was struck by a train at Olton station and pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police and ambulance service were called to the scene at 3.20pm yesterday.

The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin has been informed.

Rail services in and out of Birmingham on the Solihull line are running as usual.
