CUSTOMERS at Asda in Chelmsley Wood are set to enjoy new a shopping experience in a fresh-faced store following £5million of investment.
The superstore has received the largest refurbishment since it opened 11 years ago, gaining a modern look that has brought a number of new features to the store.
Those looking to pick up a bite to eat can now get pizzas served hot and ready to takeaway at the in-store counter, or shop the extended range of Food to Go options including sandwiches, snacks, fruit and sushi.
The inclusion of an automated parcel collection unit now gives customers the option to collect and return parcels from George.com and over a hundred retailers via ToYou.
The store also boasts extended George clothing and home departments.
Other improvements include additional self-scan and Scan and Go checkouts to provide more contact free checkout options, as well as the addition of a Timpsons concession.
Store manager Sam Carolan said: “I’m pleased customers can now see the results of all the hard work which has been taking place behind the scenes at Asda Chelmsley Wood.
“Everyone is really excited to introduce new features we know our customers will love, such as the hot pizza counter.
“I’d like to thank our customers for their patience throughout the disruption and during this unprecedented time. We hope they enjoy shopping in our new-look store.”
