MORE than a dozen speeding motorists were caught by Solihull neighbourhood officers in a morning.
Police Community Support Officers from the Rurals team carried out a speedwatch in Chadwick End on December 9 where they caught 15 drivers breaking the speed limit.
West Midlands Police said all 15 will soon be receiving a warning in the post about their driving.
The speedwatch was just one of a number of events and operations carried out by teams across the Solihull Local Policing Area as part of a week of action.
The Rurals team also seized a suspected stolen motorbike after it received a report it had been dumped in a park.
The Smiths Wood and Castle Bromwich team set up their crime prevention advice stall at Morrisons, talking to the public and sharing useful material with them.
Elsewhere, the Smiths Wood team seized a car after finding it had no MOT and the driver no insurance.
The Chelmsley Wood team visited the town centre to hand out anti-shoplifting bells to shoppers and provide advice around keeping belongings safe while doing Christmas shopping.
The Solihull Licensing team visited a number of pubs in the town including the Centurion, where they discussed the Ask for Angela scheme to help those feeling vulnerable on nights out.
