12 Dogs of Christmas - Marley is a big fusspot who wants a belly rub

HOMELESS dogs are looking for somewhere to rest their paws this Christmas.

Birmingham Dogs Home has teamed up with The Observer in the hope readers will find a paw-shaped place in their hearts and homes for a four-legged friend.

The charity has seen an influx of unwanted dogs this year with life-threatening and debilitating inherited conditions being left over the lockdown period.

However it has helped to rescue, reunite and rehome over 2,000 dogs this year.

The Catherine-De-Barnes centre has 12 homeless hounds they would love to see in a home.

Birmingham Dogs Home said: “They have all been waiting very patiently to find their “furever homes”.

“If you’re looking to rehome and rescue a dog in the New Year, book a visit today to meet some of our current residents and help give a local rescue dog the new start they deserve in 2022.”

Marley is a nine-year-old Stafforshire Bull Terrier and is a big fusspot who loves a good belly rub.

He needs a home where he can go on lots of walks to burn off all his energy.

Marley is looking for a calm, experienced home to help him adjust where he will be left to do his own thing in his older years.
