POLICE are investigating an alleged assault on an 11-year-old girl in a Solihull park on Friday afternoon (June 29).
Police say the girl was knocked to the ground in Babbs Mill Park, Kingshurst, Solihull, and taken to hospital with a cut to the neck.
She has since been discharged.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “The offender made off following the assault sometime between 2.30-2.50pm and enquiries are under way to try and identify him.
“Reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the area while investigations continue.”
