Solihull Moors FC is not any local business but a West Midlands famous team that has made its way up in the National League matches. The Damson Park was the home to the Solihull Borough, and now the place for the Solihull Moors. The club got its name from the merger between Solihull Borough and Moor Green in 2007. However, the Birmingham City Club also had full rights to use the ground of the Damson Park for their reserve game matches.
However, the Solihull Moors are now in the latest news because of the ‘naming rights deal’ the club will be carrying with ARMCO for the historic Damson Park stadium. This deal is being cracked with Birmingham’s famous professional services group. The fans of the Solihull Moors and other teams can now watch out for the matches at the stadium that will be getting the new name. ARMCO Clinching the Stadium Naming Rights
Solihull Moors FC, which is the West Midlands Football Club, has agreed to change the name of Damson Park, and for the next five seasons of the matches, the stadium will be known as the ARMCO Arena. ARMCO is a professional Birmingham-based service group that consists of a collection of 11 different consultancies. These consultancies specialize in several sectors, and the latest one is the property and finance looked after Trust Financial launching that was launched before clinching the deal with the Moors. This club has a capacity of around 4,524 members.
Damson Park was earlier known as the ‘SportNation.bet’ stadium when the club announced its commercial partnership with the site in 2019. This one-year stadium naming rights with the SportNation.bet was for the years 2019 and 2020. The previous contenders had their logo on the sleeves of the teams during their matches. Last year Darryl Eales, the Solihull Moors Chairman, stated, “SportNation.bet was the excellent sponsor, and we are delighted that this sponsorship continued for almost two seasons. The support given by the betting site was fantastic and quite appreciated.”
The club has a strong hold in the National League and an excellent local following with the larger brands. The new deal for the name will help the stadium and the team to grow further under ARMCO. The club cracked the deal because the professionals onboard at ARMCO are highly motivated individuals who provide great developmental solutions. Under their leadership, the stadium ought to grow, and this business leadership is seen beyond five years.
The Deal Cracked for Mutual Benefit
According to Darryl Eales, the Chairman of the National League Club Solihull Moors, “We are delighted to get into the partnership with the ARMCO group and feel pleased to invite Russell Martin, the founder of the ARMCO, onboard with us. I look forward to the long-term deal with the Company as this partnership is bound to benefit both the stadium and the business mutually.”
On the other hand, Russell Martin, the founder of the ARMCO Group, stated, “I am glad to be a part of the Solihull Moors FC, and will assist the Club’s ambition to secure their place in the league’s football matches.” The investment structure discussed between the two authorities seems to benefit the club’s future, and Darryl from Solihull Moors is positive to realize the club’s dream in the short term. The two partners ‘Smarter Together’ motto aligns perfectly, and this naming partnership is seen as a valuable step in this commercial partnership venture.
