A KNOWLE estate agents offered a helping hand to Silhillians looking for help on housing options at the Pensioners Fair.

The fair, hosted for the first time by Meriden MP Saqib Bhatti, saw businesses and charities – including Esther Broomhall and Partners – come together to offer free advise to the borough’s elderly community.

Around 100 people headed to Knowle Village Hall to speak face-to-face with exhibitors what’s on offer for the elderly in the borough.

The event was attended by Age UK Solihull, Probate Solicitors Limited, Eastcote Park Care Home, Avery Healthcare, Macc Care and several exhibitors who all generously gave their time to support the Fair.

Esther Broomhall, from Esther Broomhall and Partners, said: “It was a pleasure to be invited to attend this event, where our local community were able to get face-to-face advice and if needed, the comfort of being hand-held through the options available to their needs and circumstances.

“We live in a world where modern technology is at the forefront of communication; this event brought us back to the basics of putting faces to the names of people and businesses that are here to help our community, not only our pensioners but their wider family network.”
