Carluccio’s introduces new pizza collection: A Culinary Journey to Naples

WHEN you think of Italy, you think of food, and when you think of food you think of pizza.

Not only are the Italians creators of it, they are also the best at making it.

But it isn’t exactly practical to hop on a flight to Naples every-time you fancy a slice.

That where renowned Italian restaurant Carluccio’s and its new pizza range comes in.

Created by Eric Chauvet, a longstanding member of the Carluccio’s family, his menu not only honours the time-honoured traditions of Neapolitan pizza-making but also introduces a unique twist, poised to enchant the refined tastes of pizza connoisseurs.

I was invited to try out the new range and was only too happy to oblige.

Myself and my family have been eating at Carlucciou’s for years, the food and friendly staff are what keeps us coming back.

But I was ashamed to say I had never eaten a Carluccios pizza before, I was too tempted by the various Pasta dishes on offer – what a mistake that was.

I ordered the Goat’s Cheese pizza, with tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, spinach, goat’s cheese, red onions and walnuts, finished with fig jam and was blown away.

The dough is meticulously fashioned using Carluccio’s proprietary ‘Biga’ recipe, an artistry championed by their esteemed Master Pizza Chef.

This traditional method, hailing from Naples, ensures an impeccably light and airy crust.

Others in our party enjoyed the piccante pizza, which included tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, spianata calabrese, sausage, calabrian ‘nduja, fresh chilli and basil finished with burrata.

The pizzas are massive, and we were able to takeaway the slices we couldn’t finish.

Marc Wilson, Head of Operations at Carluccio’s, said, “Our commitment to authenticity is steadfast.

“Our Pizza Alla Napoletana is an invitation for patrons to experience the genuine essence of Naples; from the meticulously crafted ‘Biga’ dough to the thoughtfully selected toppings.

“This introduction is a direct response to the repeated requests from our discerning guests, who consistently sought exceptional quality pizzas.

“At Carluccio’s, we pride ourselves on listening to our patrons, and this addition to our extensive menu reflects our dedication to meeting their desires for culinary excellence.”

The new pizza range is priced between £12.95 to £15.95.

For those with a penchant for sweetness, Carluccio’s introduces the Dessert Calzone All’Nutella, a folded pizza with Nutella inside, priced at £7.95.

As a testament to Carluccio’s commitment to family dining, the new pizza range encompasses options for children, establishing Carluccio’s as an ideal destination for family outings or a cosy night in, with takeaway and delivery options available.

Carluccio’s new pizza range is available at select locations, including Solihull, the Bluewater Shopping Mall, Portsmouth, Beverley, and Derby.
