CAITLIN MCDONOUGH DANCE ACADEMY will be welcoming one and all to the new Blossomfield Road studio from September

There will be a high level of dance training in a range of subjects such as, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Acrobatics for children of aged three years old and over. Classes will give students a friendly and comfortable space for them to learn and express themselves freely. They will be watched over by former world dance title holder – Caitlin McDonough, a fully qualified teacher who got high marks in her teaching exams under the IDTA and offer various examinations under the association. Caitlin’s love of dance started when she was just two-years-old and when she turned her hand to teaching she found her ultimate passion. She said: “I started dancing at the age of 2 and instantly fell in love with it. “This then turned into a love for teaching when I started helping in classes at my dance school as a teenager. “I quickly learned that the joy I felt helping others to achieve was far greater than my own achievements.” She is hoping her academy will give children amazing experiences like she has had, from performing at Disneyland Paris, to competing and gaining world titles in the Dance World Cup at Romania 2015 and Germany 2017, and making it to the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent as part of a group in 2018. She has also performed at the London Palladium and Her Majesty’s Theatre on London’s West End. Caitlin said: “Getting to do things like travel across the world, dance in these amazing theatres, winning world titles and meeting celebrities such as Ant and Dec gave me the most amazing memories, which would have never been possible if it wasn’t for dance. “I just hope that one day I can give other children amazing opportunities and experiences like these because of dance.”
