There is so much to explore at Thinktank this half term…

How lucky are we to have such treasures on our doorsteps? Birmingham Museums are offering a world of wonder for children and adults alike this half term.

We’re loving the Destination Space Family Theatre Show.

Learn all about satellites and the key role the UK plays in their construction. Learn about how we rely on satellites every single day and see some out of this world experiments!

This event is included in the Thinktank entry price however ThinkTank recommend that all visitors pre-book an admission ticket, particularly at busy times such as school holidays.

Also don’t forget to check out the Planetarium. The new 4K planetarium system has brighter, sharper images and crystal clear surround-sound. It the only one of its kind in the West Midlands.

You’ll explore the outer reaches of space, get up close to constellations, journey through the night-sky and adventure through the solar system!

We also love Meet the Experts from WWF and also if you’re interested in climate change make sure you Meet experts from the University of Birmingham who are working together at Tyseley Energy Park with the Birmingham Energy Institute, and others, to understand and tackle the issues of Climate Change.

This is a chance to learn more about zero-carbon fuels and how we can produce energy for heating and cooling.

You can ask questions about Net-Zero, Solar Power, Hydrogen fuel, recycling, biodiversity and influences from Birmingham’s industrial heritage.

And don’t forget to drop in and learn more with Thinktank’s Climate Busking where you can get involved with experiments, demos and activities that demonstrate the fascinating world of environmental science.

This activity is part of the Operation Earth programme find. You can find out more by visiting the Operation Earth website. Find them in Millennium Point outside Thinktank. They will be on Level 2 on the 21st and Level 0 on the 22nd to 25th.
