HARRY Dixon continued his fine recent form with a goal and an assist in Earlswood Town’s 2-0 victory at Inkberrow.

Dixon set up Joe Kelso’s opener before scoring his eighth goal in as many games to seal the points after the break at Sands Road.

And the result means Earlswood sit eighth in the Midland Football League Division Two table.

The Earls handed a debut to right back Thierry Anderson who recently arrived from MFL Division Three side Solihull Sporting.

And the visitors broke the deadlock on 17 minutes when on-loan Romulus man Dixon broke free down the right and squared for Kelso to finish from six-yards out and score his first goal for the club.

Fitness issues saw debutant Anderson replaced in the first half as Harry Street entered the fray to make his 150th appearance for the club.

Inkberrow thought they had drawn level early in the second period when Joel Hill powered home a header only for the referee to blow for a foul on Earls goalkeeper Alfie Pyott.

However, the Earls eventually made sure of the points on 75 minutes when Dixon finished smartly from eight-yards out after good work from Jake Potter.

Earlswood host Birmingham United on Saturday, October 5 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
