SOLIHULL Moors have completed the signing of goalkeeper Laurie Walker following the expiration of his contract with Barnet.
The 34-year-old recorded 10 clean sheet in 29 appearances in the National League last season as Barnet lost to Moors in the play-off semi-finals.
And the 6ft 5in shot-stopper is targeting promotion with Moors next season.
Walker said: “I’m made up, it’s a great club. It’s always going to be a pleasure to play for a club like this who are looking to be on the up.
“As a unit and a team, I want to help the club go one better than last year and achieve promotion.”
Moors director of football, Stephen Ward, added: “We’re delighted with the addition of Laurie to our squad. He brings a wealth of experience to our goalkeeping department and knows the league very well.”
“After spending last season with mainly loanee’s in that position it was a priority for us to bring someone in on a permanent basis and for us to get someone of his quality is brilliant for the football club.”
Walker began his career in Milton Keynes Dons’ academy before enjoying notable spells with Kettering Town, Hemel Hempstead Town, Oxford City and Brackley Town.
He also has EFL experience with MK Dons, Oldham Athletic and Stevenage.
Walker spent the last two seasons with Barnet where he made 90 appearances in all competitions.
