KNOWLE hope to exact revenge for their opening day defeat when they play title rivals Alcester Town this weekend.

The Robins beat the same opponents 3-0 in their most recent outing as Knowle advanced to the semi-finals of the Les James Challenge Cup.

However, Alcester triumphed 3-1 in the reverse league fixture at the Draintech Community Ground on the opening day of the season.

Knowle lead the Midland Football League Division Two table by four points with two games in-hand on second place Birmingham United.

Alcester sit fourth in the table, 15 points behind the Robins with five games in-hand, and returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against Littleton in their last fixture.

Robins joint manager, Clive Seeley, said: “We are expecting a tough game.”

Entrance is £3 for adults and £2 for concessions while under-16’s go free.

Knowle’s clash with Alcester takes place on Saturday, February 24 with kick-off at 3pm at Stratford Road.
