A TEENAGER has been charged after a gun was found at a Sheldon home.

West Midlands Police said armed officers armed officers raided the property Tuesday morning (November 7) as part of a Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCUWM) investigation.

It added a live handgun loaded with ammunition was found in a bedroom.

A 17-year-old boy, who has not been named due to his age, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm.

He was set before magistrates in Birmingham today (November 8).

The arrest is part of Operation Target – the force’s ongoing commitment to tackle serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.

With partners around the Midlands region, it say it is keeping up the pressure on those who harm communities through guns, drugs, child exploitation and modern slavery.
