ELISE Glynn suffered an agonising split decision defeat in the round of 16 at the European Games in Krakow, Poland.

The Solihull featherweight lost 3-2 over three rounds against Italy’s Irma Testa who is the current World and European champion.

Glynn won 29-28 on two of the judges scorecards, however, the other three judges scored the fight 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 in Testa’s favour.

It was the third meeting between the two boxers in less than a year with Glynn coming up short despite a valiant effort against the Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist.

The 21-year-old won by unanimous decision against Serbia’s Andela Brankovic in the round of 32.
