LIAM Delves endured a nightmare weekend at Knockhill after the Solihull rider suffered two crashes and a retirement in round four of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

The weekend began well with Delves running in the midfield positions during qualifying before a crash at turn six caused a red flag to halt the session.

Luckily, Delves was unhurt in the crash as he started the 20-lap sprint race from row eight of the grid.

And he rose up to 22nd position before eventually reaching the chequered flag in 20th place.

Delves made an excellent start to race two, from the seventh row, and found himself in 16th as he looked to move into the points on lap three.

However, another crash saw his race come to an abrupt halt as he again came away unscathed.

And Delves finished a difficult weekend with a retirement in race three after a technical problem on lap 17 brought an end to his weekend with Delves in 17th place.

Delves returns to the track at Snetterton in Norfolk for round five on the weekend of July 7 to 9.
