SOLIHULL Vixens finished their league campaign with an emphatic 7-0 win against Bristol Huskies as the champions prepared for the end of season play-offs with a dominant victory.
Vixens finished nine points clear of the team in second place as Grace Garbett’s hat-trick, a brace from Jodie Alderson-Smith and further goals from Laura Horwood and Saffron Allen secured a routine win at Planet Ice Solihull.
Solihull made a blistering start as Garbett opened the scoring on 10 minutes before Horwood, Allen and Alderson-Smith all struck in the space of three minutes in a clinical first period from Vixens.
The home side increased their lead in the second period as Garbett completed her hat-trick with a brace before Alderson-Smith rounded off the scoring with her second in the third period.
Vixens goalkeeper Michelle Franklin recorded another shut out as she saved all four of Bristol’s shots on goal.
Solihull play Streatham in the play-off semi-final on Saturday, May 27 with the face-off at 1.30pm at Sheffield Arena.
