SUPERBIKES - Delves hoping for better fortunes at Donington Park

Solihull Editorial 17th May, 2023   0

LIAM Delves makes the short trip to his local circuit of Donington Park for round three of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend.

The Solihull rider hopes to take part in all three Superbike races on the Rapid Training Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki after technical issues hampered his performance in the last round at Oulton Park.

Delves only saw the chequered flag once at Oulton Park after he was forced to retire from two of the three races.

However, he was able to produce a strong ride to finish 18th in his only full race which proves he and his bike can be competitive when running smoothly.

Having had a three-week break prior to this weekend’s meeting at Donington Park, the team have worked hard to solve the issues that hindered Delves last time out.

Free practice begins at 1pm on Friday with a second session to take place at 3.50pm and then again at 10.10am and 1.20pm on Saturday.

Qualifying commences at 1.40pm on Saturday with a 12-lap sprint race to take place at 5pm.

On Sunday, the warm-up starts at 9.30am before two 20-lap races at 1.15pm and 4.30pm.
