PLANET Ice Solihull hosted its inaugural boxing event, Mighty Hooks courtesy of Tommy Owens Promotions, with the Midlands lightweight title changing hands last weekend.
The ice arena was transformed into a ringside theatre as Joe Ducker beat Ish Ellis by decision in the main event to claim the Midlands lightweight title.
And 10 bouts took place in total on the card with over 1,200 guests in attendance to witness a spectacular night of boxing.
General Manager Steve Newton said: “We are delighted to be able to bring this night of boxing to a new audience at Planet Ice Solihull.
“It is a fantastic sporting event and has been extremely well received by the fans.
“We look forward to hosting more events throughout the year in addition to our current offering of Barons hockey nights, public skate sessions and Skate Excellence Learn to Skate courses and camps.”
