Men charged after investigation into daytime burglaries

AN INVESTIGATION into daytime burglaries which saw south Warwickshire properties targeted has led to two men being charged.

A 15-year-old from Birmingham and 19-year-old Joseph Foley from Thatchway Gardens in Hawksley, Birmingham are due to appear in court with conspiracy to burgle.

Also under the conspiracy charge includes 21 alleged burglary offences and alleged theft of a vehicle.

Properties in Lea End Lane, Dumble Pit Lane, Green Lane and Wheely Road in Alvechurch were among those allegedly targeted, as were homes in Earlswood Common in Solihull and Poolhead Lane in Tanworth in Arden.




The men were arrested on March 27 before appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

The 15-year-old was released on conditional bail with an overnight curfew and police checks.


Joseph Foley was remanded in custody.

Both will appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday April 30.
