SOLIHULL Moors have made defender Matty Carson the club’s first summer signing ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 23-year-old arrives at Damson Park following a spell with Boston United in the National League last term where he made 33 appearances.
Carson started his career in Liverpool’s academy before joining Burnley’s youth setup in 2019.
He later moved to Reading and made 10 senior appearances for the Royals and then made the switch to Grimsby Town.
Moors boss Chris Millington said: “We have been aware of Matty since his time at Burnley and we’ve monitored his progress and performances.
“We feel he’s at the perfect stage of his career to come and help us push forward with Moors.
“Defensively sound, he will also bring an added attacking dimension to our wide areas and we expect him to contribute to the quality of our set pieces.
“I am delighted to welcome Matty to the Moors family.”
Carson added: “I’m really excited to get started and get out in front of the fans.”
