EARLSWOOD Town secured a third-place finish in the league following a 1-1 draw at Cadbury Athletic on the final day of the season.
The Earls ended the campaign unbeaten in 12 matches to secure their highest league finish since the formation of the Midland League in 2014.
A win against Cadbury would have seen the Earls finish as runners-up behind champions Northfield Town.
However, Alex Price saw his opener cancelled out by Callum Burston-Keeley’s late equaliser at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club.
The draw means the Earls finish the Midland Football League Division Two season in third place, behind runners-up Cadbury on goal difference.
The management team of Tom Reynolds and his assistant Steve Featherstone lifted the club from third bottom in 2024/25 to third top.
An extraordinary fixture backlog saw the Earls play their final 10 league fixtures in the space of just 22 days.
Earlswood beat Bolehall Swifts 1-0 at the Pavilions in the club’s final home game of the season.
A bumper crowd of more than 250 supporters watched on as the Earls secured a 10th win from their last 11 matches as the club hosted their first-ever community day.
The home side scored the game’s only goal five minutes after half time as Sarjo Sila glanced a header into the net from close range.
That came after Earlswood beat Paget Rangers 2-0 as Jordan McKenzie and Joe Kelso found the net for the home side at the Pavilions.
Earlswood’s fine run of form saw the club finish 13 points ahead of Birmingham United in fourth place and just 12 behind champions Northfield.
